Movin’ On

Hypnosis is the tool of choice to stop the endless self flagellating and move on with your life. Hypnotherapy provides many tools to help you at even your deepest levels of depression.  Therapy can begin at any time your ready.

Separation, divorce and death leave a lot of emotional hurt that can last for a very long time. Sometimes the pain can be totally overwhelming and debilitating. Finding happiness may seem impossible.

For you, life is difficult at best with an unending swirling of hurtful emotions and uncertainties of the future. Your mind is desperately trying to make sense of everything and never stops babbling and you can’t stop it.

You will be passing through this life only one time and living in pain,  anguish, anxiety and frustration can use up a lot of your life in grief.

Granted grief is necessary so that one can feel the loss and acknowledge it but there comes a point in time when it is time to be movin’ on with a loving and productive life.

Given that your not ready to admit you cannot do it all yourself, your neighbors with three divorces knows what to do and your not going to be “damaged goods” like them. Here are a few starting suggestions that will start to ease your burden.

Movin’ on starts with acknowledging to yourself that your ok. A nice affirmation for that is “Right Now, I’m OK”.  Recognize that at this moment in time you are ok. You’re breathing, you are alive (like it or not at this moment), no one is hurting you and you are still able to function. You will want to use this affirmation a lot during your waking hours.

Bedtime is critical. You want and must get sleep. Sleeping is a normal natural thing to do but when you’re emotionally on the proverbial rocks of life sleep can be hard to come by. So success must come deliberately through controlling your thoughts. If you can shut off your thoughts even for a few moments you’ll go to sleep.  Add your new affirmation “I’m OK” to your sleep efforts without allowing your grievous thinking to dominate and you will soon find sleep and awaken in the morning in a more peaceful state of mind.

At this moment you future may frighten you with it’s uncertainty. Your future plans with your partner are gone.  Start now to make plans for your future. Take baby steps and plan to go to a movie with a friend this evening then a short weekend in the mountains camping. Soon your will find yourself making a whole new set of long range plans. A Caribbean cruise this winter or a trip to Alaska this summer. How fun.

The real important thing is to reclaim you thoughts first then your life will follow. Because you cannot allow Obsessive Compulsive Thoughts you must stop them on purpose. Whenever you find yourself going over and over and over the same thought tell yourself “NO, STOP IT”, “FORGET THAT!” and really mean it.
